Ah, sun, sand, sex wait, what? This isn't that kind of holiday.. Unless...
Holidays.
The excitement, the planning, the prep, honestly, you think of holidays as being so relaxing and stress-free, but us girls spend so much time before a vacation getting things just right, that we NEED the holiday just to get over it.. And then we need another one to get over leaving the last one.. (which never happens *sob*)
I have the most exciting month of my life coming up.. One that I've waited to come around for as long as I can remember.
This February brings the month that I turn 21 and my little sister turns 18!!
I remember being about 9, Maisie being 6, and us swearing that we would have a huge, joint masquerade ball to celebrate. Yes, that was our dream, and it wasn't until last year that I decided that I wasn't too fussed on a party, but would quite like a dream holiday with my closest family and then a few little events here and there for good measure.
So this was the beginning of the endless quest to find 'the perfect holiday'. Honestly, we spent months debating between New York, the Bahamas, Florida and The Maldives. My boyfriend and dad struggle to enjoy the kind of holidays that me and mum love.. You know, lounging besides the pool, cocktail in one hand, book in the other, taking a dip in the pool every couple of hours.. My dad and boyfriend would much rather go off and 'explore' the land, do trips etc. So this holiday had to be something that catered for everyone.
And that's when my dad found this special trip:
2 days in New York
8 days on a cruise stopping in Florida and travelling around the Bahamas.
Sounds like heaven to me.
Then we thought that we could personalise it.. Make the holiday our own very special trip.
As if by fate, Taylor Swift tickets went on sale the night before we get on the plane to NY, so obviously I HAD to have the tickets, so now our holiday goes as planned:
Day 01: Pamper day: Taking my little sis for a pamper day; hair, nails, wax, you name it, we're having it.
Day 02: Mum's birthday. Shopping in the morning, and then a huge, fancy meal with all my family.
Day 03: Travel to London, check in to hotel, go and see Tay Tay!
Day 04: Maisie's 18th! Off to NY. Get to NY and sight see.
Day 05: Shop, shop and more shop in the Big Apple.
Day 06: Board the cruise ship (The Carnival of Fun!)

Then we go back to New York, straight to the airport, then back to London, where we are staying another night and then waking up on my 21st!

Eeeeep, 3 weeks today. Let the preparation begin!
