THREE THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND

1. CUTE UP YOUR HOUSE/BEDROOM/OFFICE SPACE:

I love HomeSense at the moment; it's jam-packed with stylish, kitch pieces that are gonna cute your home up and make it all homely ready for the quick-coming dark nights.
Find your nearest store here.

2. CLEAR OUT YOUR BAG:

Now, you may be one of those super-organised, clean-freak (sorry, I'm just NOT one of those), so I have to literally dedicate an hour each week (read that as month because I'm lazy and forgetful) where I clear out the sweet wrappers, scrunched up paper, lipstick lids and crumbs (ew) from out of my bag. I also make sure that my diary is set out for the week, giving myself a couple of tasks to do e.g. Make sure to book ___. This keeps me going and ensures that I'm half as organised as everyone else!

3. CATCH UP ON ANY MISSED PROGRAMS:

What else are weekends good for?!

This weekend I recommend Gogglebox, X-Factor, Corrie and Don't Tell The Bride.

What are you doing this weekend?

3 THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND: BANK HOLIDAY

1. OGGLE AT IAN SOMERHALDER
(just because he's ridiculously hot)
If you have nothing better to do, then just look through Google images at Ian.
It'll make your day.

2. WRAP UP WARM
Bank Holidays are notorious for their chilly weather and this one is no exception.
Typically the English weather is up and down.. One minute I'm popping my sunnies on, the next I'm getting torretial rain-ed on.
Wah, shouldn't these April showers have stopped in April?

3. HAVE A COCKTAIL FOR ME
unfortunately some of us have to work the entire weekend (me), so please, please have a mojito for me.

How are you spending your Bank Holiday?

5 THINGS TO DO: RAINY DAYS

imgs from Pinterest

1. GO PUDDLE JUMPING
Go on, grab your wellies and pretend to be five again.

2. BUILD A FORT
Collect all of the duvets, blankets and cushions and build yourself the coolest den.
Take in a lamp and some goodies and have a nap.

3. HAVE A FILM/TV MARATHON
My favourite rainy-day marathon-choice at the mo has to be The Vampire Diaries.
I completely missed the boat on it so I'm currently playing catch-up, but damn guys, I am hooked! (Admittedly I can only watch when Luke is about as it does slightly frighten me!)
Before this, me and my sister would always spent our rainy days watching Gossip Girl.
Ugh, what I'd give to be B or s.
Both programs are available on Netlix now.

4. STAY IN BED ALL DAY LONG
Curled up in bed with a cuppa tea watching the latest Corrie episode is where you're most likely to find me on a rainy day.

5. READ A NEW BOOK
I would definitely recommend;

Lindsey Kelk - I Heart... series
John Green - The Fault In Our Stars
Stephen Chbosky - The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Cecelia Ahern - If You Could See Me Now

3 THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND: CHANNEL YOUR INNER CHILD

1. GO TO THE FAIR:
Google where your nearest fair, carnival or event is in your area and pop along there this weekend for fun, food and a fantastic time. (if you're in or around Nottingham, come along to the Riverside Festival)

2. BAKE FAIRY CAKES:
Grab a cake box mix, preferably something along the lines of Barbie or Tom and Jerry, and bake some deeeelicious cakes. Half of the fun is eating the mixture though, right?

3. PLAY DRESS UP:
No, not that kind, you filthy buggers. Get your prettiest party dress, do your hair and makeup and pretend to be a princess in a tower for the afternoon.

what will you be doing this weekend?

THREE THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND: DIY

1. DO SOME DIY
RIPPED JEANS ARE SO IN RIGHT NOW, SO GRAB THAT PAIR THAT YOU BARELY WEAR (OH, I MADE A RHYME) AND START RIPPING

2. TRY UPCYCLING
GO TO A LOCAL CHARITY SHOP AND BUY SOMETHING THAT YOU WOULDN'T USUALLY WEAR. BUY IT A SIZE TOO BIG AND GET IT PROFESSIONALLY TAILORED FOR THAT PERFECT FIT

3. HAVE A ROUTE THROUGH YOUR CLOTHES
DID YOU FIND ANYTHING THAT YOU HAVEN'T WORN IN A WHILE? TRY AND MAKE IT INTO SOMETHING THAT YOU WILL WEAR
AN OLD PAIR OF JEANS INTO SOME COOL DAISY DUKES?
MAYBE EVEN SOW A LACE BORDER AROUND A NECKLINE OF AN OLD DRESS?
THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS

3 THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND: GIVE YOURSELF A BOOST

1. Try a new face mask
I love a good face mask and here's my top 3;

2. Give your hair some lovin':
There's nothing quite like swishy, hydrated, healthy hair..
well there is, I'd take a pina colada in the Bahamas over soft hair any day,
however beautiful locks are the next best thing and right now, grabbing a conditioning mask is more in my budget than a £2,000 holiday. Wah.

Here are a few that I'd definitely reccommend;

3. LOOK AFTER YOUR TOOTSIES:
Wearing heels on an almost-daily basis means that my feet can get serverely sore and hard, so why not go ahead and treat them to a massage, a scrub and lather on the foot cream. Again, here are my top 5 foot products;

3 THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND: BRAIDS

pictures all taken from Pinterest

1. Milkmaids; the cutest, quickest way to do your hair this summer. For a simple way to achieve this look, split hair into two, plaiting each one and pin over the top of the head.. et voila! I like to use this on unwashed hair as it gets it up & out of the way, so it looks fresh and I find that unwashed hair, spritzed with dry shampoo, holds styles a lot better than freshly washed hair, so this style is gonna last all day.

2. If milkmaids aren't really your thing, then why not give a braided crown a go. If you're talented enough to already be able to french plait, go ahead and french plait across the crown. If you struggle, then why not teach yourself to braid this weekend.
Why not watch these videos for a helping hand:

3. If you're not one for braided crowns, then maybe just throw a cheeky plait in there.. Maybe leave a few strands out of your bun, braid and wrap around, or even just a side plait, (man I've not wore one of those in years- that's my aim for this weekend!).
